Greek pumice “travelled” to the leading exhibition for sustainable crops
LAVA Mining and Quarrying, a member of HERACLES Group, had a very strong presence at the 6th Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture (GFIA 2019), the largest agricultural event in the Middle East, held in early April 2019 at the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition Centre, in the United Arab Emirates.
During the exhibition, LAVA showcased its integrated solutions for modern growers, combining the power of nature with innovation and high yield quality to thousands of growers and agribusiness producers from the Middle East and North Africa.
In particular, LAVA presented agroLAVA, the ideal natural Greek substrate for application in hydroponic crops. AgroLAVA has been certified with the European Ecolabel, and has been developed and is packaged according to the specifications of the Agricultural University of Athens. Furthermore, the company also showcased OikiaLAVA, an integrated solution in the form of an innovative pumice-based substrate. A ready-to-use bagged product facilitating the production of vegetables at home without the use of fertilizers.
GFIA is the largest agricultural event in the Middle East and since 2014 has had a major contribution in upgrading the industry, as has helped more than 30,000 growers and entrepreneurs discover innovative and sustainable agricultural solutions.
